What are Greedwyrms?】

⋅───⊱༺ ♰ ༻⊰───⋅

Greedwyrms or 'Wyrms' for short, are large dragon-like beasts with a large hoard of items along their vertebrae who once started off as a person like you or I, but driven by greed they transformed into these beasts and their obsession grew to a point where their hoards of items fused with their bodies, becoming one with them.
The Greedwyrms aren't sure what causes this phenomenon, whether its a curse or a previously unknown branch of a sentient beings lifecycle or perhaps something else entirely, maybe they were always meant to be this way.

A standard Greedwyrm without any add-on traits usually has scaly skin or a smooth coat like a horse, a long body and tail with 2-4 paw legs, a reptilian head and optionally horns and spikes.
They can of course gain more/different traits using items they purchase and absorb into their hoard, allowing them to have a range of body types and unique appearances.

Generally speaking, the hoard scales with the size of the Greedwyrm and  covers their entire back, but age also plays a role in how much has been hoarded (the older they are, the more they have)

A Greedwyrm usually only hoards one type of item, such as coins;  something tied to their previous life before their transformation, but sometimes a Greedwyrm may have multiple types of items that follow a theme they're obsessed with, such as a banker Wyrm having a vault, money and a desk.
These hoards can range from objects to food to even living creatures if they have the required trait.

Greedwyrms can purchase items from the various shops run by fellow Wyrms using their common currency Royal Crowns(1-icon.png) which can be claimed daily from Avarice .

More luxurious traits can be purchased with  2-icon.pngwhich can be obtained from submitting prompts and engaging in events.

After completing Avarice's friendship quest, premium currency Crystal Hearts(2-icon.png) can be converted to1-icon.png.*Note: not yet implemented

If a Greedwyrm gets their hands on a cameo amulet, they have the ability to transform back into their former self, giving them an alternate human or furry form with the additions of their Wyrm form traits. This also allows you to give an existing oc a Greedwyrm form.

【How to obtain a Greedwyrm?】

⋅───⊱༺ ♰ ༻⊰───⋅

To  obtain a Greedwyrm you must purchase either  an MYO slot, or a premade adoptable, you cannot make an official Greedwyrm without a slot.
MYO Slots are available at any time from the nursery using 2-icon.png or from the kofi shop in limited times each month for $ USD.

You can also purchase trait and myo  packs from the kofi shop which are stocked in limited quantities each month and come with myo slot(s) and trait  items.

You can also obtain a MYO by  breeding two Wyrms after completing   a crafting challenge and submitting a pairing request where you will then be given a  MYO slot with auto-populated randomised traits based off the two parents! *Note: not yet implemented

【General FAQ

⋅───⊱༺ ♰ ༻⊰───⋅

Q. If i cant draw, can i write for prompts and get others to design my wyrm?
A. Of course! Currently all prompts besides 'draw the featured Greedwyrm' have writing options (this is because not everyone is open to receiving  written work about their oc or there is no info available about the oc). You may also have others design your Wyrm,  just ensure you have permission and proper credit etc.

Q. I don't have money, can I still get a Greedwyrm?
A. Absolutely! All traits and MYO slots are available at any time to purchase from on site shops for species currency, all you have  to do is save up ! We also hold raffles for premade designs and host contests for designs, myos and currency.

Q. Something on site isn't working/I found a bug/exploit/I found incorrect info
A. Please report the issue to staff immediately either on discord  in a ticket or here

Q. Can I make adopts of Greedwyrms?
A. Unless you're staff, a guest artist  or a permanent artist, unfortunately you may not make adopts of official Greedwyrms, please look out for any openings we have :D

Q. Is NSFW permitted?
A. NSFW/suggestive content of a Greedwyrms Wyrm is strictly PROHIBITED (this includes depictions of sexual items, kinks etc) however for human forms you may do as you wish so long as it's outside the discord and site, it's not allowed on the masterlist or your profile.

Q. I don't understand the rarity system
A. In Greedwyrms, the rarity system does not represent literal rarity but instead is on theme with the 'greed', 'wealth' or 'luxury' theme of the species where the tag represents how expensive or premium something is.
For example the 'regal' trait may  appear as if its suppose to be the rarest, however its simply a category of traits that are the most luxurious/ make the biggest changes.
This is just for fun and to stay on theme, do not use them to discriminate or devalue someone's design.

【Submission FAQ

⋅───⊱༺ ♰ ༻⊰───⋅

Q. If my Greedwyrm has an alternate form, do I have to make it straight away and submit it when I'm submitting my main design?
A. You do not have to submit/make your alternate form at the same time, HOWEVER you do need to include the amulet at the time of submission, otherwise if you add the amulet later you need a Baroque Wardrobe to edit your Wyrm

Q. How big/what dimensions should the canvas be when I submit my design?
A. We ask that the maximum dimensions you upload are 2000x2000 pixels and any layout (portrait, square, landscape) is accepted but no side can exceed 2000px

Design FAQ

⋅───⊱༺ ♰ ༻⊰───⋅

Q. Can I combine traits?
A. Yes! In fact the traits are vague on purpose to encourage creativity and mixing of traits, such as using 'multiple limbs' trait with the 'halo' trait to give your Wyrm multiple halos or the 'wings' trait with the 'ears' trait to give your wyrm feathered ears or body or even the 'marine' trait with 'multiple limbs' trait to turn your Wyrm into a tentacly Lovecraftian horror!

Q. Can my Greedwyrm be based off  XYZ
A. Generally avoiding actual copyrighted images in your design is best due to the fact at some point you  may sell said design. Please brush up on copyright and IP laws BUT to be on the safe side, do not contain any copyrighted images or designs such as sanrio, nintendo etc and do not make your Wyrm look like an existing character. A little inspiration/theming is fine :)

Q. Can my Greedwyrm be based off my existing oc/closed species oc?

A. Yes! but you need to submit your design with a Cameo Amulet, this allows you to make a Greedwyrm based off an existing oc AND give your Greedwyrm an official humanoid alternate form at once

Q. Does my Greedwyrm's hoard have to be on its back?

A. The majority of the hoard must be on their back, however it can extend as far as the tip of their tail all the way to the top of their head!

Q. How big can my Greedwyrm be?
A. As big or as small as you like so long as the proportions stay the same and don't need the 'extreme proportions trait'. And yes, your Wyrm can hoard entire buildings.

Q. How big/small can my Greedwyrms hoard be?
A. Generally the hoard should cover the entire back, but the age of a Greedwyrm also plays a factor (younger  Wyrms generally have a smaller hoard while older ones will have amassed a large one)

Q. Can my Greedwyrm's alternate form be a furry or other cs or xyz
A. As long as the greedwyrm has the required 'alternate form' trait, yes! they can have any amount of forms, but only one will be added on site, so choose carefully.

Q. What traits/what does my Greedwyrm's alternate form have to look like?
A. A Greedwyrms alternate form must carry the same traits, colours, hoard etc  over where  applicable however we're lenient on differences made/the way something is translated over.

Q. Can my Greedwyrm have no legs?
A. If your Greedwyrm has the 'extra body parts trait', yes. (We know, its ironic.)

Q. Does my Greedwyrm have to have an upright neck or can it look more like a lung dragon?
A. Your Greedwyrm can have any posture you like! They can be as horizontal or upright as you like so long as it  cannot be mistaken for anthropomorphism.

Q. Can I have fake living things on my Greedwyrm without the 'living hoard' or plant growth trait?
A. This will be judged on a case by case basis when submitting but generally try avoid getting around rules like this! If you want taxidermy for example instead of live animals, they must be on stands and/or have stitches, please don't put realistic 'fake' plants on your Wyrm, synthetic plant shaped objects like plushies, flower crowns and statues are fine

Q. Can my Greedwyrm have XYZ that isn't a trait?
A. If you've double checked the trait  descriptions and what you want isn't there, assume that what you want IS allowed. For example flesh related body horror or  injuries, missing limbs etc are not a trait and don't need an item to have on your design so long as they are depicted in a realistic manner (e.g exposed 'fluffy shaped' flesh or flesh texture where there is no flesh is not allowed without the  material body trait)
Adding onto this, anything like race, gender, body types and lore for your wyrm etc are  NOT traits and are entirely up to the designers/owners, they can be designed freely with anything on these lines.
