All Work and All Play

Maestro wasn’t exactly a rich greedwyrm, but most people would argue that what she did wasn’t exactly ‘working.’ All day long, no matter if it was summer, or any other season, she’d be cooped up in her home, or at the local game shop, always painting her miniatures. The only time she’d be seen doing anything else was when she was actually playing the games she was making these for.

“How do you do it?” One greedwyrm asked, passing by one of the painting tables she was seated at. “I see you in here all the time - don’t you have a job?”

All Maestro could do was laugh in response. “This is my job! Just because I love it doesn’t mean it still isn’t one.”

She gestured over towards a glass case, filled with pre-painted miniatures made for others to buy. “Some of my work is in there! The game shop sells it, and I get a pretty great cut of the profits. And they give me the space and some materials to work, too!”

She laughed gently. “Just because I love what I do doesn’t mean it isn’t work sometimes!”

The other greedwyrm nodded, and decided to take a look at some of Maestro’s work, as she hummed and went back to getting all of the small detail work on her current minifigure just right.
